Our quality consciousness is not mere lip service
PR Quality Austria members are different from other agencies: we don’t talk about quality, we live it. We make this difference plain by having every member agency keep consistently to the Consultancy Management Standards II (CMS). This is regularly monitored by an independent certification auditor.
The "Consultancy Management Standard" (CMS) is a concept of PRCA, the British sister association of the PR Quality Austria, in 1997. The International Communications Consultancy Organisation ICCO, has taken on CMS giving it the status of an international quality standard and recommends its implementation to its members. Tailored to the special needs of PR and communications agencies, CMS combines elements from other quality certifications, such as Investors in People or ISO and is increasingly emerging as the European benchmark.
CMS has already been introduced by the Associations in Great Britian, Irland, Czech Republic, Switzerland and India. It is currently being checked out by organisation in Germany, Italy, Finnland, Greace, Portugal, Poland, Turkey, Russia and Nigeria. Testing is carried out worldwide by the auditor DNV Quality Assurance Limited. The CMS distinction will gain increasing weight with the independent audit. Following a successful audit with the award of the quality certificate, the assessment will be repeated every two years to ensure that standards are being maintained.
